So we need to let you know that even though we have links to members, companies, organizations and events, the Chamber is not responsible for, and expressly disclaims all liability for, damages of any kind arising out of use, reference to, or reliance on any information contained within the Chamber site. We will do our best to keep the information on our website up-to-date, we cannot make any 100% guarantees because we are human and things may change. Finally, we need to tell you that while we hope you have awesome business and service providers on the links from the Hawaii Rainbow Chamber of Commerce website, The Chamber has not made any investigations into the claims of our members or third parties and of course the Chamber is not making any endorsements of any of their products or services. Caveat emptor.
OK, we don’t like the legalese stuff much either, but we need to post this and it’s no different than what you find anywhere else. Up front just to let you know, we will do all we can to protect your privacy and information that is not public or needed for our Chamber to function and which you agree to. You have no doubt also been alerted several times from major corporations or institutions that your data has been stolen or leaked, so it is always a good idea to put a ‘credit freeze’ on your accounts and check regularly to make sure that your credit and identity are secure. California changed its laws and we will most likely have members from there, so we need to make sure we follow their rules which are intended to make you an aware consumer.

Do we use ‘cookies’?
Yes. Cookies are small files that a site or its service provider transfers to your computer’s hard drive through your web browser (if you allow) that enables the site’s or service provider’s systems to recognize your browser and ‘remember’ certain information. Websites usually do this to compile aggregate data about their website to improve users’ experiences.
• Help remember and process the items in the ‘shopping cart.’
• Understand and save user’s preferences for future visits.
• Keep track of advertisements.
• Compile aggregate data about site traffic and interactions in order to offer better user experiences.
• We may also use trusted third-party services that track this information on our behalf.
You can choose to have your computer warn you each time a cookie is being sent, or you can choose to turn off all cookies by modifying your browser settings, but your user experience may not be as efficient. We do allow for anonymous website browsing and we recommend a VPN for all of your website use.
We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer to outside parties your PIP except in the promotion of the Chamber or your business or as otherwise noted. This does not include website hosting partners and other third parties who assist us in the normal operating our Chamber, our website & publications, conducting our business, or serving our users, as long as those parties have policies to keep this information confidential as well. We may also release information when required comply with the law, enforce our site policies, or protect ours or others’ rights, property or safety.
Non-personally identifiable visitor information may be provided to other parties for marketing, advertising, or other uses.
Occasionally, at our discretion, we may include or offer third-party products or services on our website. These third-party sites have separate and independent privacy policies. If you use those websites, just be aware that the Chamber cannot have responsibility nor liability for the content and activities of these linked sites should you choose to share your information with them by clicking on them or interacting with them in other ways.
Basically, if you have not figured it out by now, Google, MSN, Yahoo, Amazon or many other large companies, website service providers, search engines and other related entities know everything you do online. That’s why when you search for “Trips to Antarctica” an ad for Parkas will magically appear, along with cruise information and other info. That’s how they make their money, but they also know everything about you. Use a VPN.
