PPP Deadline Extended until May 31
May 23, 2021
The Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) is an SBA-backed loan that helps businesses keep their workforce employed during the COVID-19 crisis. President Joe Biden has signed into law a bill (H.R. 1799) extending the deadline for nonprofits and businesses to apply for Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) loans through May 31 and to allow the Small Business Administration (SBA) to continue to process loan applications through June 30. PPP loans are designed to provide a direct incentive for small businesses to keep their workers on payroll, and borrowers may be eligible for PPP loan forgiveness.
